SAVE / School Emergency Procedures

The New York State Legislature passed the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation in 2000 to promote a safer and more effective learning environment within New York State schools. This program covers school emergency procedures, including lockdown/lockout, shelter- in-place, duck and cover, and fire drills including the New York State Education Department and New York State Police guidelines. The online course provides annual SAVE update training for those who missed the Superintendent’s Conference Day.

Right to Know, Hazard Communication with Global Harmonization Training

The New York State Right to Know Law requires annual training about hazardous chemicals in the workplace and establishes employee rights to access certain types of information. Hazard Communication / Global Harmonization is the OSHA regulation covering these same areas. This course provides Right to Know and Hazard Communication online training and complies with the new OSHA Global Harmonization requirements.

Lockdown Drill Training

This training program covers the Lockdown Drill Procedure including common mistakes and features video of a simulated intruder incident in cooperation with law enforcement officials.

Sexual Harassment PreventionTraining for NYS Employers

Sexual Harassment Prevention training based on the New York State Department of Labor model training is now available.

Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness Training

This course provides Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness training for custodial, nurses, and other staff who may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens as part of their regular duties.

How it Works
