This program is designed to provide attendees with an understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s requirements for the management and entry into permit-required confined spaces. We will be discussing both the general industry and construction requirements and the employer’s duties under the regulations.
Topics will include:
- Definitions and requirements for confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces.
- Employer requirements for inventorying and communicating hazards.
- Permit systems.
- Equipment necessary for entries.
- Rescue services.
- Training requirements.
- Hands-On entry practice into a site.
